From The Giant Golden Book of Biology (1961).
Other than if it were illustrated by Al Jaffee, this is the most fun you could have looking at a biology book.
And it's nice to see Charley Harper's illustrations in context, as they were published. I especially love the pregnancy timeline.

My dream is to find this book during my junk searches...I would never sell it, even though it is being offered for mucho dollars. What fabulous work!

I had the good fortune of having a wonderful aunt that went to art school with Charley Harper and befriended him. He gave her two first edition, signed copies of this book when it first came out. The one she gave to me and my siblings is stained and tattered and I will never part with it. My childless aunt put her's on a shelf and I have since inherited it. I'd like to sell her pristine copy before something dreadful should befall it. I don't trust myself with it! Any ideas on where I should sell it?

Hi Jill
I'm no expert but maybe put it on ebay with a $500 reserve? I'll send out a tweet. I know there are a lot of people who'd love your signed copy- and what a great story.
